CHILDREAN SUPPORT PROGRAM

Kilimanjaro Aid Project helps vulnerable children (aged 3-18 years) in Tanzania to build an independent life. We do this by offering them a safe and healthy environment and access to quality education. During the entire process, attention is paid to developing a wide variety of skills. Our approach substantially increases the employment opportunities for these children.

Kilimanjaro Aid Projects helps children stand on their own two feet.

We work in four phases as shown below.

Our working method in 4 phase

The children who are helped by Kilimanjaro aid Project  go through a process of 4 phases in which they are intensively supervised. These 4 phases consist of: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and further education, where we also focus on support in finding a paid job.

We highly raise fund for build children’s home and kindergarten for 3-6 year olds in Arusha. Proper education is the key to an independent existence. Our main goal. By offering quality education, we focus to offer children the prospect of a better future. A future in which they can send their own children to school and we can break the cycle of poverty. Until then, we plan to offer a number of children shelter in our upcoming orphanage at Arusha . To be complete we will comprise a small kindergarten and a house.. These center will be  an orphans and children from problem families who do not receive basic care or have a safe home. We plan to welcome a maximum of 12 new pre-schoolers. Many of these children will come from underprivileged backgrounds and have had traumatic experiences. They will require a lot of extra care and attention from our team. We will  have 1 employee (matron/patron) available for every 6 children, we will be able to offer the personalized care that is needed.

We looking for potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, International Ngo’s collaboration and individual donations

After reach 7 years old at Kilimanjaro aid Children’s Home and kindergarten, the children continue for further education in primary school. Kilimanjaro Aid Project help to find Sponsorship to this Kids to get Education .

All kids  go on to primary school. These children are placed in external boarding schools, with the boys and girls living there being separated. Since 2022 we have maintained close contacts with, St.Urusula Primary schooll this are private schools.

The other children will follow the close nearby good government school – close nearby Kilimanjaro Aid Children’s Home. They will go to school and come back to overnight at Kilimanjaro Aid Children’s Home. By offering primary  education externally and internally, we have many options available for the children and we can choose the school that best suits the learning needs of the child.

The secondary school phase for 14-17 year olds

After completing primary school  and passing the national entrance exam, the children continue for further education. A number of children go on to secondary school at O level. These children are placed in external boarding schools, with the boys and girls living there being separated.  We have maintained close contacts with different  Secondary School (all private schools) and some good government schools in the Arusha and Kilimanjro area. The other children will follow vocational training. They are introduced to different professions and skills. They then choose a profession in which they are trained and of which they can later make their profession. By offering secondary education externally, we have many options available for the children and we can choose the school that best suits the learning needs of the child.

The last phase up to ± 18 years. In this phase, the focus is on helping the students (± 16 years old) develop the skills they need to build an independent life.

We do this by following a 1 or 2-year vocational training after completing secondary school. Kilimanjaro Aid Projects pays for housing and tuition fees for students..

Our final responsibility in this last phase is to help the students find a paid job or set up their own business. We will have mentor program which will  plays an important role in guiding the children to the labour market. In addition, we find an organizations to work together in mentor program.

Students who are academically gifted continue at our expense for another two years at the Advanced level. We then try to pay for their university fees through sponsorship and scholarships. Upon admission to the university, the financial support from Kilimanjaro Aid Project will stop.
